Some of his works, particularly in the field of young adult literature, have been well-received due to their exploration of social and historical themes.[1] He doesn't consider the state of contemporary literature to be ideal and places idealism at the forefront of his activities.
Hamidreza Shahabadi was selected as the scientific secretary of the 8th Book of the Year Award in 2015 (1394 in the Persian calendar). He was also offered membership on the Supervisory Board for the Implementation of Publishing Regulations for Children's and Young Adult Books, which he declined. Hamidreza Shahabadi, through his works, has not only enriched Iranian children's and young adult literature but also, with a profound look at history and social issues, strives to create awareness and critical thinking among the younger generation.
