Panthera onca mesembrina یک زیرگونه منقرض شده از جگوار است که دردوران پلیستوسن (1.8 میلیون تا 11000 سال پیش) در جنوب آمریکای جنوبی بومی بود.فسیل‌های آن عمدتاً در آرژانتین و شیلی حفاری شده‌اند ، اگرچه فسیل‌های کمی شناخته شده است. تجزیه و تحلیل ژنتیکی در سال 2016 نشان داد که P. onca mesembrina بر اساس شواهد ژنتیکی در یک دودمان خواهر منقرض شده با گونه Panthera onca موجود بود و بزرگترین زیرگونه شناخته شده جگوار است.
